Saturday 25th September – National Demo vs Agrofuels
1pm at Portland port, Dorset, the site of the proposed palm-oil burning, agrofuel power station. Initially the power station was rejected, but that was overturned on appeal. It will increase by 1/3 the volume of palm oil currently being imported for energy use. Details here.
Saturday 9th October – Zero Waste: A way to a low carbon future
Our 2010 Network Day will take place at the Bethesda Church, Cheltenham with Michael Warhurst, senior FoE campaigner for Resource Use (Waste) as the main speaker. More details here.
Sunday 5th December – Cirencester Flea Market
The popular, bi-annual fair whose proceeds benefit Gloucestershire Friends of the Earth.
