Saturdays 14th & 21st January 2012 – Wilderness Centre open days
A Group campaigning to protect the Forest of Dean's Wilderness Centre (GL17 0HA) is holding open days there and need all the support they can get to re-establish it by and for the community. If you have spent time at the Wilderness Centre you will appreciate what a special place it is and that it needs preserving for the world’s young. If you’ve not yet been there, then it’s some view up there. They need resources - spoiled hay, manure, non-GM/non-hybrid seeds, garden tools, big cooking pots, gas hob, blankets…. Also people, especially with skill-sharing resources, are needed, anyone who wants to get involved, either imparting their knowledge or acquiring skills, eg charcoal burning, coppicing & other traditional forestry and country crafts, living history, geology etc etc (and whatever ideas people have).
